Colonel Luca Semeraro is an officer of the Italian Air Force who has always held positions in units dedicated to intelligence gathering and analysis of international scenarios and crisis areas with a direct impact on national stability and security. For over twenty years, he has served in joint services, particularly at the II Information and Security Department of the Defense General Staff. Within this organization, he has been involved in various areas of international interest with increasing levels of responsibility, particularly in the specific sector of analysis. He has attended numerous qualification and specialization courses in Intelligence, as well as participated in various informative seminars for the exchange and sharing of operational techniques and procedures to be applied in the field of intelligence. He has participated in numerous “discussion tables” with experts from the academic world and Think Tanks for the analysis of crisis scenarios and multidirectional sharing among different knowledge bases.
He has organized numerous workshops on different geopolitical contexts involving military leaders and representatives of public institutions, the academic world, and private companies.
He has been a speaker at several conferences on security and critical phenomenologies and has been called upon multiple times as an expert in the field of information sharing initiatives, contributing to the drafting and publication of relevant reports.
From 2019 to 2022, he served as a Senior Analyst at the International Staff of NATO Headquarters in Brussels. Since 2022, he has been a member of the Steering Committee of IGS.
